I visited the Everglades Outpost about a year ago and I only have wonderful things to say about it. I got the behind-the-scenes tour and our adventure began. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun, and most importantly you can tell he really cared about the animals and the environment.

The tour included feeding alligators, holding baby alligators, feeding a brown bear, feeding wolves, and coming incredibly close to a tiger. The reptile exhibit was also amazing, and our tour guide let us hold and take pictures with some of the snakes.

After doing the main tour, our guide took us back to feed the zebra and camels they had on site, I truly enjoyed being able to be so close to the animals and coming into their environment.

Growing up in South Florida, it’s easy to forget how lucky we are to be able to experience everything it has to offer. I can’t wait to go back, and I’ve let everyone know what a hidden gem this is. The Outpost made me feel more connected to the Everglades.
