“The C-44 Reservoir is the first of the three major reservoirs to be completed under the world’s largest ecosystem restoration project - CERP. “This reservoir, decades in the making, will protect the health of the natural environment and is critical to Florida’s economy. The residents in this region along the east coast know how critical clean water is to their way of life. “Restoration works and the Foundation commends the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the South Florida Water Management District for their dedication to seeing this reservoir to fruition. We look forward to further collaboration to ensure more restoration projects come on line in this last decade of Everglades restoration under CERP.”
