The Everglades Foundation today announced that Julie Rosenfeld, a veteran environmental development executive with a career focus on major and leadership gifts, has joined the Foundation as its Director of Leadership Gifts.
“Julie Rosenfeld brings a wealth of experience and tremendous passion for restoring America’s Everglades,” said CEO Eric Eikenberg. “Her science background and environmental involvement will be excellent assets for our already outstanding development team.”
Her focus will be on Broward, Miami-Dade and southern Palm Beach counties, according to Eikenberg.
A Florida resident since the mid 1990s, her primary conservation concern is Everglades restoration and her happiest times are spent wading through the Big Cypress.
She has long been involved in fundraising for Everglades restoration efforts, having served at the Ransom Everglades School and The Nature Conservancy, where she worked in state, regional and national offices, always with a focus on major and leadership gifts.
A Boston native, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Anthropology from Wellesley College and a Masters in Cell Biology and Anatomy from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.
