Palmetto Bay, Florida – The Everglades Foundation today released the following statement, attributed to its CEO Eric Eikenberg, on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ State of the State address.

“It was an honor today to be invited to attend the Governor’s State of the State address, where he spoke about his priorities for the Florida Legislative Session, which includes continued and needed funding for Everglades restoration. This vital effort is critical to the state’s economy, environment, and population.

“We look forward to working with the Florida Legislature on funding for restoring the Everglades, one of the largest restoration efforts in the world, that will ensure the health of the state’s economy, as well as Florida’s water quality and supply.”
