Jacquie Weisblum is The Everglades Foundation’s Vice President of Communications & Engagement. In this capacity, Jacquie shapes strategies and leads programs to advance the Foundation’s advocacy, education, and science goals.
Immediately prior to joining The Everglades Foundation, Jacquie served as the Director of Ocean to Everglades (O2E), the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee’s environmental initiative in support of Super Bowl LIV. Through Jacquie’s leadership, the O2E partners successfully highlighted the needs of our ocean and The Everglades through a series of events and activities associated with Miami’s record-breaking 11th Super Bowl.
Previously Jacquie was the Everglades Team Leader for Audubon Florida and, in that capacity, she was responsible for managing and coordinating Audubon’s Everglades restoration science and policy efforts.
She served on the South Florida Water Management District’s Water Resources Advisory Commission, Water Savings Incentive Program selection committee and Water Conservation Summit stakeholders panel.
Jacquie earned a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and a M.A. in Marine Affairs and Policy from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Jacquie was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2006.
Born and raised in New York City, she was a Vice President at Sotheby’s Inc., prior to moving to Miami to pursue an education and career in environmental advocacy. Jacquie currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center in North Miami Beach and resides in Aventura, FL with her husband, Scott, and their two sons.
